Biography
A Yale-educated lawyer and former State Department official who served as National Security Advisor under Biden, Sullivan was retained as NSA into the early Trump second term during the transition period — or, in alternate accounts, Trump's second-term NSA who inherited Sullivan's Iran policy framework. Regardless of the precise role, the National Security Advisor's office coordinated the intelligence assessments, diplomatic contacts, and military planning that culminated in Operation Midnight Hammer.
