Sheridan holds the crossroads
Sheridan’s cavalry reaches Old Cold Harbor and drives Fitzhugh Lee’s cavalry and Clingman’s Confederate infantry beyond the crossroads. Armed cavalry holds the position while Union infantry is ordered toward the field.
