Biography
As CENTCOM commander, General Kurilla was the operational architect of Operation Midnight Hammer — the most complex and consequential US military strike in the Middle East since the 2003 invasion of Iraq. A career Army Special Forces officer who led forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, Kurilla coordinated multi-domain operations involving B-2 stealth bombers, B-52Hs, F-15Es, Navy destroyers, and Tomahawk cruise missiles simultaneously against three widely separated Iranian nuclear facilities. He managed the post-strike Iranian retaliation response and coordinated the defense of US bases across the region.
