While Trajan campaigned against Parthia, Jewish revolts erupted across several eastern diaspora regions, including Cyrene, Egypt, Cyprus, and Mesopotamia. Ancient literary accounts describe extreme communal violence and Roman reprisals but are hostile, late, and numerically unreliable. The conflict's modern name derives from Lusius Quietus, who suppressed resistance in Mesopotamia.
